Thank you, I am switching asap, tired of the dam wire rusting or getting kinked :17:

The cable on the DR I took off was 400' and I bet the last 150 of it was nothing but rust that I have to pry out of there. That pretty much sealed it up for me. I bought my braid at 3 rivers for 28 a rigger I think.

Sorry Rory ... no blackbox required either :92:

I think braid is a little more by a buck or so.

However since your not gonna fray it on rust and drop that $30 ball to the bottom as often ... the savings are in the 2nd half

Kill the scotty braid and go to 150# power pro (red). WAY less blowback. The scotty was worse than cable in terms of blowback.

Todd is pushing bait for selectiver fisheries?? I'd have figured him for a jig guy... :61:

I like to mooch, but I end up catching too damn many dogfish and flounder, and this year about 395 true cod, too...I catch all that stuff with darts, too, but at a slower rate, and with no leaders having to be replaced when the damn sharks tear 'em up.

We ended up with a mess of MA9 kings last week trolling...but if you're not getting constant action, it's about as exciting as watching the grass grow...

Fish on...

Do I have to show you how to catch a fish within 5-minutes again?

Running 200# PP on the rigger with 15# nuts.... Night and day difference!
