Not gonna pull it off. I like it.

They have 20ish hours on them and fish dont seem to mind.

If someone would have predicted I would have guessed 2 trips and remove but I really like the stuff.

I enjoyed using your braided downriggers. I highly recommend them.

I finally lost a ball with the Scotty cable a couple weeks back. I wasn't positive about going with braid,so I went with some Mason brand cable on the recommendation from Mike at Ted's. I'm not too pissed though. Its the first ball I've lost in about 4ish years of messing with downriggers.

I don't think the made in USA Mason cable is much better. It seems to kink pretty badly.

My second Scotty needs some new cable so I might break down and try some braid.

Try the braid on one and I bet you end up changing the cable out.

If you did it again, would you still go with the 250# Scotty stuff?

The lady at Scotty was talking up their new low drag 175# braid.

I went from wire, to scotty braid, to 150 power pro. I will not be going back. The power pro is plenty strong enough for pulling even 15 lb balls. It has minimal blowback compared to the other two. The price was better too. My only regret was I couldn't find it locally in Red...

Never thought about the PP. Good idea Elk.

NR - I didnt see the low drag but I really dont see much of an issue with the standard braid either. I would go low drag just because its available though.

Do you know if there is a difference in their "regular" PP vs. the stuff they market for use with downriggers?
