Ok first I have to tell you I like using sand dabs, greenling and bull heads for ling bait...you catch them around kelp and rocky ledges etc...I like using Hopkins spoons (left over from my bassmaster days) but at 3 to 5 dollars a piece I dont like loosing them. so one morning while I was making breakfast I was thinking about fishing (Im always thinking about fishing) it came to me....10 cents a lure at the thrift store a little grinding and hole drilling throw in a 30 cent hook and 15 cents worth of split rings and there you go a lure that when it get hung up is no big deal

we tried it a couple of times over the winter, it caught the crap out of quillbacks, I think it will be fine for greeny and bullheads, and sand dabs on the bars
