Willapa Bay

I am looking for a little info on Willapa Bay. I have never fished the area but I am interested in heading down there maybe around the upcoming holiday weekend. I have done a little research on the methods, mostly herring with fish flash and according to the Regs it is open with a daily limit of 6, 2 being adult chinook. I guess my question is this: is it worth a trip during the first 2 weeks of Sept or ? Most of the articles I find on the subject are a few years old. Thanks for any information.
