Last March, I went out to Hood Canal, and it started screwing up...like working correctly, then suddenly it shows 1.7 feet deep and a blackout screen, then it'll start working again sometime later. A pain if you're trolling in unfamiliar areas. It works for the most part on Tapps, but not 100%.... but when I'm in the salt, it doesn't work very well at all. I fired it up and checked the timing, 8deg. BTDC---- PERFECT! The boat seemed to be running a little rich so I went to adjust the mixture on the carb, the more I closed the mixture screws the better it ran, when I closed them completely it was running great! That means 1 of 2 things, either the jets in the carb are too big or the carb needs to be ...
