hews does have some designs that I like verses north river, I couldn't belive the price of that hews at the last derby in anacortes.

I almost bought one of the first 24' OS when they were being built in Tacoma (Almar), but when the sales guy said he wouldn't accept cash for the full price I hauled ass... Instead I got a ton of phone calls saying that he could get me great financing. Great business model huh? A few weeks later I stopped by the main plant on the way to California and had a talk with Brian himself about this... The sales guy was fired and I still didn't buy the boat.

If Brian was willing to shuffle some papers, it makes me wonder if there was any hidden shortcuts taken on building some of the newer (last few) boats. You guys might want to have it checked out by a marine surveyor just in case. If there's issues this can be legally addressed before there's no money left...

Things on the outside may look good, but it's inside that counts!

what sucks to is what they did to almar after they bought them, almars used to be one of the best built aluminum boats on the market but northriver turned them into a piece of shit, the northriver versions ive looked at were all junk.
