Daytona 500
Was a good race up until the rain. I hate rain shortened races. Another so so showing for Dale Jr he better pull his head out of his ass and run good this season.

Jr's going to have to rely on his HR car untill he gets to tracks he traditionally does well at.
Note to Bill France, and David Stern: It's not about the show. It's about the race, or the game. I'd have started the race early to get it all in. Screw TV. And if you need an example of a total TV whore, it's the NBA Allstar weekend. What a joke.

I agree. They knew the weather was a factor so they should of started the race early. I havn't really paid attention to the NBA in 10 yrs or so,but the allstar weekend was a joke back then. :26: :26:
The NFL and superbowl sunday is there also. :22: A person can only hear the story's about the same player's so many time's before enough is enough.
:22: 10 hr's of talking before a 3 hour game get's old.

What were you expecting from a middle of the pack, over-rated driver?

Re: Daytona 500
Over rated because of his popularity...maybe. Over rated in the series....no way. He's not the most talented driver in NASCAR, but he's by no means the worst. And I don't hear the "over rated" shit for anybody else. Obviously if you liked Sr., you're a Jr. fan. Visa-versa, if you didn't like Sr., and he had his share of critics(mostly the pathetic whining pretarded cat loving losers), you don't like Jr..
I'd have to give the best driver tag to Busch. I gauge that decision on two primary factors. One, how well he can drive a bad car, and save a car. Dale Sr was the best I've ever seen at this. Busch looks like he's gonna crash, every lap, every corner, and never does. Two, he just ain't gonna take any shit from anyone. It's his race, and if you wanna beat him, you better bring a sack lunch. One of the best ways to describe this, is what a driver must fell when he does get past a driver like Busch or Dale Sr., "oh crap, now he's behind me, and pissed off". That's the last thing you want. Makes you think twice about passing him, or pissing him off. You combine that mental edge and real talent.....wow, only once in a great while do we see drivers like that.
It's getting harder for me to watch NASCAR. Some of these races are just plain boring. Plus it's kills me to think of all the talent wasted on fendered cars, and how the series is drawing talent from my favorite series, the IRL.

I loved Sr. he was 1 of my 3 favorite Nascar drivers, that being said, I never have nor ever will be a Jr. fan. Don't pay much attention to the middle of the pack guys :91:

Making the chase is hardly a mid pack result. But you go right ahead and consider it whatever you like. In your professional opinion, what other mid pckers were top ten in points?

Re: Daytona 500
How about comparing Jr. record to other big names (Johnson, Gordon, Stewart) over the past 10-15 years or so, half the wins of Stewart or Johnson and shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentance as Gordon and Johnson when it comes to championships. Nobody cares who finishes second, even if you consistantly finish 2nd or in Jr. case, 8th or 12th or 23rd. So over-rated! :91:

Yep, middle of the pack, he's 19th in points and dropping fast, if any other driver did what he did with Casey Mears after the Phoenix race, it would probably cost them a minimum 100 points, but its Nascars Golden Boy, no way in hell they mess with him, probation :26:
Hendrick motorsports 2009 season
Gordon, win
Johnson, win
Martin, win
Earn. Jr. :09:
